Create & Craft Business is new,
innovative and aimed to forge
partnerships between Ideal Shopping
Direct plc and the Retailers in one
of the fastest growth areas of
modern trade. Ideal World TV
Shopping Channel was launched in
2000 and is broadcast live on all 3
digital platforms, Sky (634); NTL
(747 since July 2002) and Freeview
(22 since April 2004). Crafts have
been a major feature since its
inception and, in April 2003; Create
& Craft TV was launched on Sky
(661). It is the only channel
dedicated solely to Crafting and has
become a leader in innovation, at
the same time making celebrities of
its crafting professionals who
regularly guest on the shows.
Research showed that some 80 – 90%
of viewers regularly attempt to buy
items featured on the shows from
High Street Craft shops. With the
acquisition of Superstore TV in
2006, Ideal Shopping Direct gained
expertise in sourcing of products
from around the world. Additionally,
professionals in selling to the
wholesale and retail markets have
been brought on board and everything
was put in to place to launch the
